Place/ date of brith : bandung, july 10, 1956
Carmanita was born in bandung, west java. As s descendant of a traditional batik making family in central java. She finished her business marketing and finance studies at the university of san fransisco. Having a returned to indonesia in 1980, carmanita became interested in and concentrated on what up till now has been caried out by her anceslor namely the traditional batik making. In her development she did not just stick ti the traditional pattern she abserved other aspect the universal character of traditional cloth.
